Oshwal Elderly Welfare Association Supporting Independence Team assists older people to make more effective use of services provided to help them to live as independently and as comfortably as possible. This can be achieved by reducing different number of enquiries that an older person needs to make in order to access services.
The Supporting Independence Team can enable a member to access a wide range of information and services through one organisation.

Partnerships have been developed with other service providers including local councils, Health Services and other voluntary sector organisations.
This enables the Supporting Independence Team to directly access services information and assist the member with application procedures where appropriate.

We can link you with local services by:
- Advising what services you are entitled to
- Making appointments and phone calls for you
- Filling forms
- Monitoring progress of any applications.
