Dear Friend,

Oshwal Elderly Welfare Association (OEWA) is registered Charity working with and for the Elderly within Gujarati speaking communities in Greater London.

OEWA is to assist older people to make more effective use of services provided to help them to live as independently and as comfortably as possible.

Partnerships have been developed with other service providers including local councils, Health Services and other voluntary sector organisations. This allows members to access a wide range of information and services through one organisation.

Who are we?

OEWA has been running Cancer Support Group for nearly one year in North London (Harrow). The support and information gathered at these group meetings has encouraged the Association to start another support group in South London.

What can we offer?

Being diagnosed with cancer can often turn people lives upside down, so with the support and partnership of Macmillan Cancer Relief, Asian Cancer Support Group can provide free, friendly and confidential help and information to patient, carer, family member and friend in a safe relaxed, friendly and informal atmosphere where everyone present feels included and valued, regardless of their age, religion, ability/disability, marital status or class

Asian Cancer Support Group aims to offer :

  • An outreach service allowing one – one support.
  • Support in English and Gujarati
  • A cancer support self-help group for members in a warm and friendly yet confidential environment.
  • Signposting Service

But we are not........
